Your Suggested Reading for the Summer of 2017
Here are a number of novels I find wonderful that I hope you will pick up this summer or in the future! You may feel that some of these books are beyond your current reading level right now. That's ok! I encourage all young readers to pick up books that do not come as easy reads to them, as it is an essential part of growing as an English student that we take on daunting tasks, ask questions, look up the definitions of words we've never heard before, look for deeper meaning, find out something about the author. My office and email are always open to discussion about any of these questions you might have. If you know any great reads or have any personal work you would like to share unrelated to class, don't be shy, leave me a message here, or approach me at school. I'm always looking for fresh literature or a good new book.
